Rich had already selected the ring Sara wanted in early March, however it was delayed well beyond the expected date.  He was able to pick it up in late April before him and Sara were planning to take a weekend trip to Myrtle Beach.  Rich had been in contact with friends Brian and Megan Kelly, who volunteered to take the trip down to assisst with the proposal.  Rich plotted to have Brian and Megan meet him and Sara for lunch near the beach, so he could easily transition to walking there.  Unfortunately, Sara wasn't hungry, and insisted on going shopping instead of lunch... they were late for lunch with Brian and Megan by 2 1/2 hours!

Once they had finally arrived at lunch and finished eating, he secretely texted Brian his plan to take Sara for a walk on the beach (which he hoped was empty), and hopefully propose there.  When he and Sara walked through the dunes to the beach, much to Rich's dismay, the beach was packed with people!  As they strolled along the beach, Sara began to realize something was amiss, and actually started to run towards the dunes!  After Rich finally caught up with her, he was ready to propose.  Because he was so caught in the moment, he had forgotten Brian and Megan were tailing them to catch pictures.  Poor Megan had to sprint along the beach to catch up with us, and dive into the sand dunes in order to snap a few pictures of the proposal!
